Author in Commit

# Change committed author

Control git tag

Git rebase from 1st commit

Remove files from Git commit

$ git reset --soft HEAD^
# or
$ git reset --soft HEAD~1

# Then reset the unwanted files in order to leave them out from the commit
$ git reset HEAD path/to/unwanted_file

# Now commit again, you can even re-use the same commit message
$ git commit -c [ORIG_HEAD] 

$ git commit --amend --author="John Doe <john@doe.org>"

# git has a different solution to do this. First change the file you do not want to be tracked and use the following command
$ git update-index --assume-unchanged [File_Name]

# And if you want to track the changes again use this command
$ git update-index --no-assume-unchanged [File_Name]
